"Nepali Lemon Verbena" Organic
We were once gifted a lemon verbena plant and told to trim off entire stems and steep them in a cup of hot water to make a delicious tea. What a wonderful gift, especially since I now pine for a cup of this candy-like lemony tea in the evenings after dinner.
There are numerous benefits to lemon verbena. It aids in digestion, balances a constipated or diarrhetic gut, prevents gas formation and bloating, decreases joint inflammation, aids in sleep, helps with skin conditions, and eases colds, fevers and chills.
Enjoy all day as a hot tisane or refrigerate for a delicious cold beverage. See Brewing Instructions.

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
Serving Size*: 3g (4 tsp)(4-5 pinches) per 150 ml (3.5 oz) of purified water.
Ideal Brewing Vessel: Porcelain tea pot with strainer or infuser; or glass brewer for cold brewed tea.
Western Style Steeping: Heat water to 212F/100C (boiling) and pour into a tea pot or mug. Place tea into teapot with strainer or tea sachet and steep for 1-2 minutes. Can be brewed again, but let steep for 5 minutes.
Cold Brewing: Place 4g of tea in a pitcher. Pour 450ml (16 oz or 2 cups) of cold water into a pitcher and refrigerate. Can be enjoyed within two hours, or brewed overnight for a stronger flavor. Sweeten if desired.
*Adjust the brew time, temperature and leaf volume to fit your taste: A lower temperature increases vegetal flavor; a shorter brewing time decreases astringency; and a lower volume of leaves reduces bitterness.
