"Harlequin" Organic Matcha Genmaicha
Harlequin Matcha Genmaicha is a certified organic tea from Tenryu, Shizuoka, Japan. Sencha green tea leaves and roasted brown rice are masked with a sprinkling of matcha powdered tea. After the initial infusion, the brown rice's color is revealed. The Matcha adds further depth and complexity to the fragrant liquor.
Genmaicha is a highly nimble green tea. It brews at a higher temperature than other green teas and brews best when doing acrobatics in a tea pot while under a tea kettle's steady water stream.

Matcha powder and sencha green tea contain between 19-44mg of caffeine. One milligram of the most high-quality matcha contains about 34mg of caffeine.

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
Proportion: 3g (1 tsp) per 150ml (5-6 oz) water
Ideal brewing vessel: Glass or porcelian Hohin, or low profile, thin clay Kyusu.
Steeping: Boil water to 190F/88C and pour water in a strong stream into the brewing vessel so that the leaves swirl and roll. Infuse for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Infuse a second time at a lower temperature for 3+ minutes.
