"Appetizer" Organic Nepali Green Tea Botanical Blend
Appetizer Green Tea is a light and refreshing blend of organic Nepalese green tea, fennel seed, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon.
Earthy green tea and sweet pungent ginger awaken the mind. Ginger sparks the appetite, boosts immunity, moves stagnant food in your gut, removes toxins, and relieves constipation, gas and bloating. Cardamom, ginger and fennel improve circulation, aid in digestion, and loosens morning mucus.
Cardamom stimulates downward energy and moves food through the gastrointestinal tract, while ginger increases digestion, easing the pressure and bloating of a full stomach after a large meal.
In Ayurvedic medicine, ginger balances Vata dosha. It's warmth mediates a cold Vata stomach. Ginger stimulates blood circulation and warms Vata digestion.
Cinnamon balances both the Kapha and Vata doshas due to its warming properties and stimulation of sex drive, circulation, mood and digestion.
This tea is specially formulated as a morning tea for Kapha dosha. Kapha dosha is responsible for excess mucus, which leads to a dampening of digestive fires, thus allowing a sense of cold to enter the body. This puts a strain on the immune system. Cardamom and ginger liquify mucus and relieve stagnation in the lungs or sinuses. A balanced kapha makes for an improved immune system.

Brewing Recommendations
Brewing Recommendations
Serving Size*: 3g (1 tsp) per 150 ml (3.5 oz) of purified water.
Ideal Brewing Vessel: Porcelain tea pot with strainer or infuser; or glass brewer for cold brewed tea.
Western Style Steeping: Heat water to 175F/79C (just as it starts to emit steam) and pour into a tea pot or mug. Place 3g tea into teapot with strainer or tea sachet and steep for 1-2 minutes.
Cold Brewing: Place 4g of tea in a pitcher. Pour 450ml (16 oz or 2 cups) of cold water into the pitcher and refrigerate. Can be enjoyed within two hours or brewed overnight for a stronger flavor. Sweeten if desired.
*Adjust the brew time, temperature and leaf volume to fit your taste: A lower temperature increases vegetal flavor; a shorter brewing time decreases astringency; and a lower volume of leaves reduces bitterness.
